About the Owner: Pamela Rondini

I grew up in the artsy town of New Paltz, NY, and got my Bachelor of Arts at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. In 2005, I moved to Burbank, CA for work where I met my wonderful husband!

I worked in Corporate America for ten years. Working in warehouses, purchasing, production, and ultimately in operations management/distribution. The decision to leave was difficult, but I knew it was the right thing to do. I needed to have a better work life balance, a flexible schedule, and a job that allowed me to use business management and creativity. Ultimately, I wanted the American Dream; a job I loved to get up for every morning! The more I thought about it, I figured if I can run a multi-billion dollar facility for a Fortune Top 20 company, then why not run one for myself? Soon after, I decided to start my own business. I wanted to sell and create handmade gifts, and photography. I also knew many talented artists that needed somewhere to sell their art, and voilà... Rose Ribbon, Inc.

About the VP of Art Selection and Review: Cora Smaldone

I was born in Ireland and lived there until I was twenty years old. I came to NY for a visit, and never left. In 1972 I got married and moved to New Paltz, New York where I raised two children.

My background is sales, marketing, bookkeeping and office management. My strengths are communication, negotiation, and a sense of humor.

My husband and I have also owned a travel agency for over 25 years; we have traveled extensively n Europe, Asia, Russia and the Caribbean. Travel has fed my obsession with photography, the discovery of new and different handmade jewelry, gifts, and all kinds of crafts. I try to learn a new craft every year; I have blown glass in Alaska, hammered silver in Ireland, had painting class in Hawaii, and made handmade paper in China. I love it all.

Crafting is like therapy for me, it calms my speeding mind and helps me to relax. I have been a crafter since I was a teen. I took painting classes for six years and sewing for seven, but my first love is photography. I have documented my trips for years and recently I submitted my portfolios for college credit at Empire College.

I am excited to be involved with Rose Ribbon! I look forward to discovering new unique items and vendors, and I plan to broaden the inventory with high quality handmade gifts.
