H.M.S. Beagle Master Chemistry Set (Item 4551, 3577 and 11280)

This kit consists of three different components: (1) Master Chemistry Kit Component A (equipment and books, Item 4326), (2) Master Chemistry Kit Component B (extra chemicals, Item 3577), and the new (3) Legacy Chemicals Plus Kit (Item 11280). All three components are shipped in an over-pack with two smaller boxes inside. Inside on one of the smaller boxes as the Legacy Chemicals Plus Kit. There is plenty of room in the over-pack for adding either an extra Legacy Chemicals Plus Kit (as some customer do) or other chemicals and equipment.
These kits are assembled on order and may take 10 days to 2 weeks (or sometimes slightly longer) to put together...please be patient. Obviously if it shows as being in stock, then we can ship immediately.

This is the chemistry set every child wants to own. It not only includes over 80 BenchMark chemicals (including the fifty-six chemicals found in the BenchMark Legacy Chemicals Kit), but it includes Robert Bruce Thompson's book, All Lab, No Lecture; Illustrated Guide to Home Chemistry Experiments, and the CD-ROM that is also included in the Legacy Chemicals Kit (with the 1936 edition of Chemistry for Boys, the 1960 edition of The Golden Book of Chemistry Experiments and the Pictoral Guide to Laboratory Glassware and How it is Used, 4th edition, 2012 in Adobe PDFs). Also on the CD-ROM are additional PDFs of more experiments and demonstrations and Material Safety Date Sheets (MSDSs). With theses books, chemicals and equipment one can do thousands of experiments, demonstrations and serious scientific research; one is only limited by one's imagination.

The glassware and equipment is all professional quality and is exactly like one would find in any college or industrial chemistry laboratory. The laboratory notebook is a standard item that we sell at the Beagle, and users will always be able to purchase additional copies.

The BenchMark chemicals are all packaged by H.M.S. Beagle and are standard items in our store. Additionally, these chemicals and about 500 more can be purchased in-store and on-line (with applicable shipping restrictions). The selection of chemicals included in this kit was originally made by John Farrell Kuhns drawing upon his personal experience as a professional chemist, but especially his experience of having had a home laboratory since the age of twelve. We are always adding new chemicals to our line. Additional or replacement glassware and equipment are also sold both in our store and on-line.
