An essential oil made by steam distillation of the wood of Juniperus virginiana (Family Cupressaceae) Principal Constituents: cedrene (up to 80%), cedrol (3-14%), cedrenol, cedral and others. Safety Information: nontoxic (externally), can cause acute local irritation and sensitization; use in dilution only; do not use during pregnancy. Traditional uses: Aromatherapy and home use for acne, dandruff, eczema, greasy hair, insect repellant, psoriasis, arthritis, rheumatism, bronchitis, congestion, coughs, sinusitis, cystitis, leucorrhea, nervous tension, & stress; fragrances for room sprays, soaps, cosmetics and perfumes. For fragrances and perfumes: blend with benzoin, cypress, juniper, patchouli, rose, sandalwood and vetiver.
