About texmesquite

Sam Sagebiel, artist, and owner of Mesquite Mystique grew up on a ranch near Fredericksburg, Texas, and has admired the usefulness and beauty of mesquite his entire life. He now works exclusively as a mesquite artist, using his talent to take common wild mesquite trees and molds them into beautiful art. He has produced products and creates custom orders to fit anyone's needs. Mesquite wood has unmatched character. It is warm, with a rich patina. The color varies from red hues, light brown and dark brown to yellow sap wood. Each created piece is unique. Sam and his wife Patti, consider the created handcrafted items to be art heirloom pieces. Therefore, each mesquite product is named, signed and dated by the artist. Sam says he sees the art in the tree before he starts to work on it - his work is merely to set the beauty free for everyone to enjoy. Our mission is to provide the best quality product.
